G1 Gold Blackwood Chanter

This is probably the best Pipe Chanter Iv'e ever played. The harmonics on the lower 1st, 3rd & 5th are rich and spot on with one another as they should be, the HG 7th is a wee bit sharpish but easily fixed with tape and the HA is bang on one Octave. Tried a Moulded and Ridge Cut reed. This chanter prefers a ridge cut just like Jon said it would. The hole spacing is closer than a standard Band Chanter but not as close as the Infinity Chanter. I can feel the resonance in my fingers like no other Chanter I played before. The D is sharp too but fixable with tape. I find 480 - 482 to be the sweet spot. Cheers.
