There are lots of great choices for moisture control out there. The secret is figuring out how much you need and which system will meet that need. Individual requirements for moisture control can be affected by a variety of factors including personal blowing technique and environmental influences like humidity. Ideally, each bagpipe set-up would use as little moisture control as possible but enough to get the job done. We recommend starting out with nothing (or very little) and working your way up to a more complex arrangement if needed. Remember, each additional component of your bagpipe set up is one more variable to be monitored and maintained for peak performance.
