So for the b flat chanter do I need a b flat reed or do I use a normal chanter reed?

A:
You can use a modern reed in the B Flat chanter, but a B flat reed will hold the lower pitch better.

I would recommend the Shepherd Flat or the Melvin B Flat reed in this chanter!
