Can't go wrong here

As expected, you can't go wrong with a McCallum chanter. I swapped the reed for a Warnock and the pipe has a very nice tone. Plays better than my Gibson for sure.

Right wicked

This chanter is fantastic! Very pleased with the tone and ease of play. Well balanced, smooth playing. Highly recommend. Pipers Hut customer service was helpful and quick to respond on an order i modified, and all items were great.

Q: What is the overall length of the chanter? I am looking for a new practice chanter with hole spacing closer to the actual highland (or border pipe) chanter. I am not a tall person - should I look for a standard length or does it matter? I am more interested in having the hole spacing wider. THanks for any advice. Judy

A: The total length of the PC4 is 22". The hole spacing between the Long and Standard Length McCallum is nearly the same. The top hand on the standard length is a tad closer together compared to the Longer chanter. Generally I look at the height of the person playing to determine which chanter to use. The length help or hinder your posture when sitting at a table practicing.
