They come in 2 different lengths.

The shorter one is for mouthpiece bulbs made of all metal.

The Longer is for a mouthpiece bulb with a metal sleeve.

Q: I have McCallum AP2 pipes with the adjustable mouthpiece. I want to add an oval mouthpiece tip but I don't know how it fits onto my existing mouthpiece. Please advise and I will purchase the oval tip made for McCallum pipes. Thank you!

A: McCallum makes the telescopic blowpipes in three variations. One has a solid black mouthpiece that is built into the telescopic tube. As it is built into the tube, it is all one piece and you can not remove the mouthpiece to replace the tip. The second would have an imitation ivory bulb and alloy sleeve. In this case you would need the longer oval tip. The third and last is a solid alloy bulb. This would require the short oval mouthpiece tip.

Q: How does the McCallum oval mouthpiece fit into a McCallum blowpipe? I don't see any way to make them work and would like to find out before I purchase an oval mouthpiece. Thank you!

A: The tip on a McCallum Blowpipe, with either an Imitation bulb or metal bulb, can be replaced with an Oval tip. If you have a solid plastic bulb and tip, you would not be able to replace it. You would need a telescopic tube with a threaded end, an imitation ivory or metal bulb, and then the tip. If you have the solid plastic bulb and tip, we do have the products that you would need to make the tip oval.

Q: I recently purchased a blackwood McCallum practice chanter. I have been using the oval airstream mouthpiece on both my Poly Hardie Practice chanter and McCallum pipes, but the airstream practice chanter does not fit the McCallum practice chanter. Can you help me with this? Thanks
