Description
Questions and Answers
A full set of replacement reeds for Gibson Fireside Pipes. In the Key of A or B Flat. This set contains 1 Chanter Reed, 1 Tenor Reed, 1 Bass Reed, and 1 Baritone Reed.
Q:
Other than the obvious that they are two different tunings what are the advantage of either the A or the B flat?

A:
Both A and B flat...in this instance are concert pitched. Generally, I would say that A would be easier to play with other instruments. I should mention that the A and B Flat instruments have different measurements. If you have the A Fireside pipe, you would need the A fireside reeds. Using B Flat reeds in the A pipe will not create a B flat instrument.

Q:
I do not have a set of fireside pipes but I am in possession of an old set of bellows blowen scottish small pipes. Would this Reed set work. I'm trying to get them up and running again. They have metal box reeds with a cane toung and bamboo chanter Reed.
