Mouthpieces come in 3 lengths: 3 1/2 inch, 4 1/2 inch, 5 1/2 inch

The Airstream Mouthpiece is the same mouthpiece that comes standard on all Airstream blowpipes.

It has an oval shape to allow for more airflow to your pipe bag.

This is essential for the large bore blowpipes, as the bore size will not matter if the mouthpiece does not allow the maximum airflow.

Very good mouthpiece

I bought this mouthpiece because I had used the Airstream Blowstick in a previous pipe band and loved it. I bought the mouthpiece only because my current blowstick is still good and matches my pipes. I play a set of Shepherd S-3’s and the only issue is that it doesn’t screw all the way down the stick. It stops about halfway and won’t go any farther; but I love the shape and it’s made keeping a seal much easier.

Q: The OD of the Airstream mouthpiece threads is smaller (about 1/8”) than the ID of my blow stick threads. Can anything be added to help join the two or do I have to purchase the whole blow stick assembly? I’m trying to keep my stick blow stick if possible and just change out the mouthpiece. McCallum AB4 pipes.

A: If the blowpipe threads are smaller then the mouthpiece threads, then you can use plumbers tape or Teflon tape to build up the threads to accept the slightly larger mouthpiece threads.

A: The piece that goes into the mouth is a large oval or elliptical.
