Q: Just want to make sure this has a flat mouth piece rather than an oval one. I think it must be but from picture is a little hard to determine. Thanks.

A: The mouthpiece on this is a large oval. I wouldn't classify it as flat. The Mouthpiece is 5/8" on the long side and 3/8" on the narrow.

Q: Does this airstream blowpipe come without a flapper valve?

Q: I'm told my blow stick is too long and I need something as much as 2 inches shorter. My current blow stick is 11" from the tip of the mouthpiece to the base of the stock (that inserts into the pipes).. If you measure to the base of the mounting stock it's 10 inches long. Does this adjustable blow stick allow my to reduce that length? If it is 91/2 inches at it's shortest is seems not???? Also is there any variation in the size of mouthpieces? Could I get a shorter mouth piece instead/also?

A: You would measure the blowpipe from the tip of the mouthpiece to the bottom of the projecting mount, not including the hemped tenon that goes into the blowpipe stock. The Airstream telescopic measures out to 8.5 inches with the shortest mouthpiece. The Airstream Tilt also measures the same but due to the angle you may find that you need to lengthen the blowpipe a bit!
